A Day at Mivumo
Pre-dawn coffee. Your guide briefs the session. The boat launches into the Rufiji just as the gorge walls start to glow. The river moves fast here : big structure, deep runs, sandbanks that hold tigerfish in numbers when the conditions are right. By mid-morning you're already counting takes.
Back at the lodge for lunch, your chalet's plunge pool handles the heat. The outdoor shower faces downstream : crocodile on the far bank, kingfisher working the shallows. No urgency. The afternoon session launches when you're ready.
